I’ve been having lessons with Dana to help with composing music and learning about harmony. I’ve never had lessons in the theory of music so Dana is helping with this, whilst making it relevant to the music I’m writing. I’m finding the whole experience very instructive and extremely exciting. Dana’s website is very easy to navigate and booking a lesson is very simple and easy to do.
Harmony & Composition
Always fun, always stimulating, always challenging. I always feel mentally and physically joyful after a lesson.
As a singing teacher Dana is: patient; positive; expert; enthusiastic; inspiring; excellent value for money.
What’s not to like?
Credit to Anne for providing a positive and patient teaching environment. My boys have developed creditable piano skills in a very short time due in part to the supportive approach that Anne uses. They love it!
Dana’s skill and commitment draws out what a voice can be
I can’t believe how much my singing has improved in such a short period of time – would recommend Dana wholeheartedly
Dana de Waal is a genius! My daughter has been having singing lessons with him for almost a year now, and the improvement is amazing. He has the most wonderful teaching style, he combines fun with technique seamlessly. We are so impressed, that we now have piano sessions. These lessons are the highlight of her week. He is a true professional and a great inspiration in my daughters life!
Dana has found a voice which I didn’t know I had, and I am so thrilled. He is an excellent teacher – upbeat and patient. I look forward to my lessons and always go home on a high.
The move to online lessons has been seamless. Anne provides theory worksheets for piano and accompanying music for singing in advance, so we have a clear sight of what is coming up. The video calls mirror the face to face experience and are also easier to fit into a busy family schedule without the travelling! Our daughter has continued her progress and looks forward to every second of the lessons. She is also more confident in using her own piano and Anne provides top tips on how to get the best out of her practising environment.
